Rear and Back Glass Replacement in San Leandro and the East Bay
Back glass on cars, trucks and SUVs, including the units with a defroster grid baked into them.
What's involved
Back glass is bonded in place much like a windshield, so the old urethane is cut out and the new glass is set with fresh adhesive. On most vehicles it's a one-visit job.
Defroster grids and antenna lines
The fine lines across your back glass are a heating grid, and on many vehicles the radio antenna runs through them too. The replacement glass has to match the original for both, and the connector tabs need to be soldered or clipped back correctly or the defroster won't work. Tell us the year, make and model and we'll match it.
Cleanup
Back glass is tempered and collapses into pebbles across the cargo area, the rear seats and the seat belt tracks. We vacuum it out. On pickups and SUVs, glass usually finds its way under the rear seat as well, so we pull what we can reach.
How long it takes
Around an hour on site, plus adhesive cure time before driving. If your back glass is out entirely and rain is coming, say so when you call.
